It is also coming to PS4 and PS5, marking Alan Wake’s first appearance on PlayStation consoles outside of the AWE expansion for Control - which is basically one big tease for Alan Wake 2.


There is currently no release date beyond “this fall,” although leaks place the game as coming out as soon as October 5. The remaster was announced by Lake on the Alan Wake website The Sudden Stop. As for what’s included in Alan Wake Remastered, it’ll feature the two main DLC episodes “The Writer” and “The Signal,” as well as enhanced 4K visuals, updated character models, and developer commentary from writer and creator director Sam Lake. The remaster was actually leaked as an Epic game a couple of months ago, so this shouldn’t be too much of a shock.

It is highly unlikely that Alan Wake Remastered will ever appear on Steam on PC, so anyone who wants to get it will have to do so on Epic Games Store. Therefore, there is no Alan Wake Remastered Steam release date.Īs for whether it’s a temporary or permanent exclusive, a big difference between Alan Wake Remastered and most other Epic exclusives - such as Remedy’s previous title Control - is that it’s being funded and published by Fortnite studio Epic Games, so this particular exclusive is a permanent one.
